Twitter has really taken off since we organised the first Brussels Twestival back in February and we’re aware that a lot of new people have started using Twitter since then and may not have been aware of the first Twestival or what a Twestival is. So here’s a quick beginners guide to the Twestival.

The most important thing to say is that Twestival is a party. We all know how to party, so no special skills required there. Anyone can come and all of the money raised through ticket sales and donations goes to charity.

When is it? -  12 September 2009

Where is it? – Addictlab, Delaunoystraat 60, 1080 Brussels. It’s in the same building as the Event Brewery. Check out our practical info page for more.

When does it start? Doors open at 8pm and there will be music and activities right from the start. The first live band will be at 10pm

Do I need to buy a ticket? – Yes, you have to buy a ticket to attend the Brussels Twestival.

How much are tickets? - We want everyone to be able to come, and we want to raise as much money for charity as possible so you can pay either €10, €25 or€50 for a ticket.

Are the tickets different? -  No all the tickets are the same. All of the tickets enable you to come to the party, watch the band and stay for the DJs. Just pay the price that suits you best.

Will there food and drink? - Yes, you’ll be able to buy food and drink at the venue on the night.

How do I get there? – There are a couple of different public transport options. Checkout out practical information page for bus and Metro routes and a map which will help you plan your route if you are driving.

Is there parking? – We may be able to provide parking at the venue, but this has still to be confirmed so be sure to follow @BRUTwestival for announcements.

What happens to the money you raise? - We decided to have a vote and let people decide which charity projects they thought were their favourites.

Who organises it? – Twestival is a global organisation. But the parties are organised by groups of local volunteers.

How many cities take part. – Last time, over 200 cities participated, this time they are expecting more…

So check out the great video made by Daniel Fazio and make sure you have your tickets.
